Review: If you have not heard of CC cream then I suggest you become acquainted with this product. Available in four great shades Moisture Surge CC Cream Compact SPF 25 is not only foundation, it also moisturises skin and protects thanks to SPF 25 sunscreen factor. I am a sucker for excellent cream foundations and this one has left a mark. It offers fabulous coverage, the finish is beautiful, even and flawless however Moisture Surge CC Cream Compact SPF 25 tends to wear off quickly. I have been wearing the shade Light which is ideal for fair skin however the undertone is pink base and I strictly only use yellow base foundations on my skin because I discovered long ago that pink base tones make skin appear tired and sallow. In this case, my theory was again correct because this did leave a pink finish on my skin and left me looking tired. With the little sleep I manage to get, I don't want to appear haggard at the best of times. If Moisture Surge CC Cream Compact SPF 25 was to offer coverage that lasts through the day and came in a yellow base shade for fair skin then I could easily give this product five stars and use it for life. This CC cream is fabulous and almost there in the quality stakes so I wish I could give it a perfect score. Packaged in a slimline compact complete with mirror and sponge applicator, this CC cream foundation is ideal for the gal on the go. I do prefer to apply makeup in front of a mirror with sufficient natural light and only use proper makeup brushes for easy application so I personally don't use the compact mirror and sponge. I would prefer to replace these unnecessary additional inclusions with a smaller, lightweight compact. When applied to skin coverage starts off light/medium and can be gradually layered upon to create full coverage that still looks natural and feels like second skin. The oil-free formula makes this CC cream ideal for all skin types and while people with oily skin types might experience shine after 3-4 hours of wear, it is nothing a bit of loose powder can't fix. For those who seek fuller coverage, Clinique does make the suggestion to wear this product under foundation but then again that tends to defy the purpose of this product I feel. I am impressed with Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream Compact SPF 25 and would probably consider replacing my foundation with this product if a few key concerns were improved on.
