MBFWA: Aje Spring/Summer 13-14

Aje returned to MBFWA for their second year running to showcase Spring/Summer 13-14 The Garden of Yesterday. This beautiful collection best described as a collision between nostalgia and romance. The Garden of Yesterday was inspired by the childhood memories of designers Edwina Robinson and Adrian Norris. The collection has experimented with different textures, with references to soft delicate tones, embellished textures, bustiers, micro skirts and high cut gowns.

Hair: was directed by Jon Pulitano for REDKEN. Jon described the hair as 'smooth and sexy with natural movement' and went on to say "we also deliberately left some flyaway hair at the crown to create a halo meets raw-rock feeling."

Makeup: was directed by celebrity hair and makeup artist Lauren McCowan (for no particular cosmetic brand).

Nails: directed by Karon McKendrick-Taylor for OPI. Nails were kept nude to compliment the soft, natural hair and dewy skin under the bright lights. Karon said, “It’s that staple nude shade with a glossy sheen, OPI Samoan Sand. It was the perfect shade for the Aje. show and this lacquer shade is called upon by stylists and designers season after season because it always looks natural but so beautiful.”

We simply adore the tweed designs! Which design do you love most?
