Review: I absolutely love Torture Tonic Shampoo, and as a large majority of women colour their hair, I know that they too will love the benefits of this hydrating shampoo. Torture Tonic Shampoo is a protein-enriched shampoo that helps to soften hair, smooth the cuticles and clean the hair and scalp. Having an oily scalp I was a little cautious about using this product because I did not want to aggravate and enhance the natural oil my scalp produces but having used this shampoo for a year I can confidently say that this is certainly not the case. As I do have an oily scalp, I alternate the use of Torture Tonic with Fudge's Daily Mint Shampoo which is specifically designed for excessively oily hair. Torture Tonic Shampoo enhances smoothness and gives a natural shine (which is great for dull blonde hair like mine). I wish that Torture Tonic Shampoo was free from Sodium Laureth Sulfate, but it does foam up beautifully to clean my scalp and oily roots so I really can't complain. The scent is pleasant, inviting and does not smell artificial. Torture Tonic is packaged in a plastic bottle with flip lid, making it easy to open and close when your eyes are closed in the shower. I will absolutely purchase this shampoo again because I have not found a hydrating shampoo so well-suited to my hair and its needs.
