Beauty Supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2012

It's that time of the year again. The month where beauty brands participate in an amazing cause which I hold close to my heart: National Breast Cancer Awareness MonthThe pink ribbon is an international symbol of breast cancer awareness and these are most commonly seen during the month of October. Breast cancer effects millions of women worldwide, and each year many companies come forward to financially help aid the aim of finding a cure through research. In Australia the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) aims to completely eliminate breast cancer deaths by 2030. This is an extremely positive aim and I ask that every woman does two things this month:
1) Donate to NBCF or purchase one of the endorsed products below where a portion of proceeds are given to NBCF.
2) Give yourself a breast examination or see your GP for one. Prevention is the best cure.

Pantene Pro-V Beautiful Lengths Campaign
Have you heard of Beautiful Lengths? This campaign has made sound waves internationally. This wonderful awareness campaign inspires women to grow, cut and donate their hair to be turned into real-hair wigs for women undergoing cancer treatment. This year Australia introduces its own Pantene Beautiful Lengths campaign and is now calling on women across the country to get involved and pledge their ponytails.

In partnership with the charity Look Good…Feel Better, a free national community service program dedicated to teaching cancer patients techniques to help restore their appearance during chemotherapy and radiotherapy, Pantene will fund the creation of real-hair wigs by helping women grow beautiful hair to donate to the program. Kicking off in Sydney on Monday 12th November, National Donate Your Hair Week will see hair donation events taking place across the country with women pledging their hair to the Beautiful Lengths cause. These wigs will be distributed across Australia at no cost to cancer patients. To discover more visit:
