Review: theBalm Liquid TimeBalm Spot Concealer is a full function skin care product and concealer all rolled into one. Unlike other concealer and zit zappers I’ve tried, this dual performance concealer and pimple elixir has a powerful moisturising formula, loaded with skin nurturing goodness. It accelerates the skin’s natural healing process, whilst providing optimal coverage to effectively improve the unsightly appearance of imperfections, so they remain unnoticeable. Fully blown bumps won’t be magically cured with a single dab; however it actively promotes recovery and gives me confidence and peace of mind to face the world knowing my complexion is unblemished and looking fabulous!

The liquid itself has a medicinal-type scent that I would identify as originating from the tea tree oil, but it’s not at all offensive and fades soon after it’s applied. The lightweight, creamy texture and thick consistency, allows for smooth, streak-free blending that evens out my skin tone and transforms it into a uniform canvas. The formulation is well pigmented, with a buildable, medium-
to-full coverage, which hides embarrassing flaws, including pimples, surface veins, minor scarring and facial redness. The concealer is non-drying and non-greasy, yet nourishing to my skin for additional comfort. It dries fast, creating a soft, flawless finish that looks and feels completely natural. The soothing formula is gentle on my sensitive skin, even though it boasts the ability to calm inflammation and irritation, protect against damaging environmental aggressors and treat problem areas rapidly. Unfortunately, there are only three shades available, but I came up trumps with the darkest one, called ‘Honey’, which is a perfect match for my natural tanned complexion. The staying power is brilliant and a light dusting of powder prevents fading, melting or creasing during the day.

The outer cardboard packaging of theBalm Liquid TimeBalm Spot Concealer is lime green in colour with white print, which to me is a reflection of the toxic-free, more natural formulation and is pleasantly appealing to the eye. The inner tube features the same colour scheme and is similar in appearance to a lip gloss, with a twist-off lid attached to a long stem that has a foam tip to serve as the applicator. The convenient packaging makes it ideal to pop in my handbag and use for touch-ups on the go. Overall, I am loving the full effect of theBalm Liquid TimeBalm Spot Concealer. It’s my new Holy Grail concealing spot treatment that I seriously cannot fault.

Tip: It’s wise to consider the ‘less is more’ approach when using this concealer, because you only need the tiniest amount for successful results.
