Review: L’Oreal Paris Nude Magique is one of the most amazing products I have ever tried! Ever. A BB (blemish balm) cream which has been designed to even out the skin's appearance, add a touch of colour and hydrate skin. I was expecting Nude Magique to act like a tinted moisturiser and was completely surprised to discover otherwise. Nude Magique performs the task of hydrating skin, which has prevented dry, flaking skin. The liquid formula is white and contains tiny blue beads. Initially when I saw the formula I doubted its merit - how could this white formula possibly add colour to my skin? I applied the cream to my skin with my fingertips and experienced a gritty exfoliating sensation which I would assume comes from the microbeads. Within a few seconds I suddenly saw my complexion change, become more even ... and even noticed areas in need of correcting or evening out. Ah-mazing! Since the second application I have used a foundation brush to apply the formula and ensuring I blend the product on the back of my hand before applying it to the skin. Why? Because it helps to 'burst' the blue microbeads which hold the pigment and therefore the colour goes on evenly without scratching the skin. I have applied the formula with and without a makeup primer base underneath (and lightly powdered over it) and would you believe that Nude Magique has lasted 10 hour days with ease... heck, I come home and still look good! And my oily t-zone is only moderately shiny - not the slippery oil slick that is usually likes to be.  While Nude Magique comes available in Light, Medium and Dark shades, I find that by blending Light and Medium together for my fair skin, the colour is just right for my complexion, giving skin a natural warmth without looking artificial or overdone. One thing I love about Nude Magique is that you can build your coverage, unlike tinted moisturisers which in my opinion gives no coverage to the skin. One minute I seem to have a light/medium coverage and by adding a little more to my sin the coverage is perfectly flawless and not so sheer, all the while allowing your beautiful skin to show. If that was not enough to sell you then this will: Nude Magique contains an SPF 12+ which I believe to be extremely important and beneficial for protecting skin against ageing, damage and sun spots. All the while this formula is extremely lightweight, smells pleasant and does everything it claims to do without irritating skin. The squeeze tube packaging is so easy to useand I love the little nozzle applicator to help aid with application. I am so hooked on Nude Magique that I almost want to use this and only this. Is this my holy grail BB cream? Absolutely! I want this to spread like wildfire and become the number one BB cream. I love it so much that I would probably pay a little more for it - and that's saying something.
Tip: wash hands really thoroughly after application - the clear formula tricks you in to thinking hands are clean ... until you make your move on the white hand towel!
