Review: Due to my larger smile, I’m not very adventurous when it comes to lipstick colours. I usually stay away from bright reds and pinks in the fear that they make me look like a clown. Face of Australia’s Lip Quench Moisturising Lipstick SPF30+ in Nude Satin therefore, was a perfect lipstick for me. The colour was inoffensive yet neither was it bland, boring or unnoticeable. Unlike other nude shades I’ve worn Nude Satin gave a prominent colour to my lips which really accentuated my smile without going overboard. With moisturising ingredients such as Shea Butter and Jojoba Oil, the lipstick applied smoothly and evenly over my lips leaving a consistent solid colour. Due to Nude Satin being a simple, yet sophisticated shade it offers a professional and smart look which is why I favour wearing it to work. I probably only have to reapply perhaps three times in an eight hour period.

I also often find I need to add a gloss over the top to even out the texture and add a gleam to it, however this product has a subtle shine of its own and whilst its perfect for me others may still want to add a bit of extra gloss (especially if they’re going out and want their lips to stand out that little bit more). Lip Quench Moisturising Lipstick SPF30+ is actually made in Australia, and even more enticingly, the brand is against animal testing (although it doesn’t specify whether they are just against animal testing or whether they don’t actually test on animals). The sun factor of SPF30+ was another bonus for me though. Whilst now in winter, being sun protected may seem a non-issue, come summer it’s good to know that I can spend time in the sun without having to apply a sun cream based lip balm as well. Like most lipstick tubes it comes packaged in an easy twist case which allows quick and simple application on the go - perfect for my handbag and my typically clumsy application. Overall I am very happy with the result.
