Favourite chain store label Kookai recently flew across to Marrakesh to shoot Arabesque, the new Spring/Summer 2012/2013 campaign which coincides with celebrations for Kookai's 20 Year Anniversary. Who loves a sweltering hot summer? We do!! And Marrakesh did not disappoint with a vibrant array of colours in the desert and in the market place where supermodel Nicole Trunfio and Kookai regular Ilona Novacek did what they do best: look fantastic. The exotic and ancient Moroccan city is a stunning backdrop, capturing a milestone collection that celebrates 20 years in Australia.
Shot by acclaimed London photographer James Meakin, Arabesque is inspired by the architecture, colours and essence of life in Morocco, with a distinct French Influence that links the brand to it's Parisian heritage. The sophisticated and sumptuous campaign captures the true feel of Marrakesh with the historic Medina, the lively Souks (markets), and the majestic palm tree forest along with the famous city walls. Models look polished and preened to perfection with sleek ponytails and beautiful makeup inspired by desert taupe tones.
The new collection showcases a new look for Kookai: affordable high fashion inspired designs including bright mini dresses, play suits, colourful shorts and pants, and for the second year running Kookai proudly bring us a swimwear collection perfect for poolside, beachside... or just mulling around in Morocco as you do! All pieces are crafted from fine materials and Italian leather.
