Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Eventone Tone Perfecting Cream ★★½
About: Hydrating facial moisturiser designed to visibly reduce discolouration, even skin tone and helps reduce the appearance of unwanted dark and age spots caused by sun damage. Packaged in a plastic jar with twist lid.
Review: Well I have been using Eventone Tone Perfecting Cream for approximately 5 weeks now and although I like the results that the moisturiser has given my skin, there are a few negatives as well (hence the 2.5 star rating). The fragrance is quite overpowering and strangely, Eventone Tone Perfecting Cream smells like sunscreen. This overwhelming scent tends to last on my skin after applied and quite often gives me a headache. The texture of this moisturiser is quite unusual - the thick formula doesn't glide on smoothly, making it rather difficult to blend in to skin. And while my skin feels firm after each application, the thick consistency makes Eventone Tone Perfecting Cream more of a night cream because when worn under foundation, makeup wears off much quicker throughout the day. Although not keen on the consistency and scent, I have persisted with Eventone Tone Perfecting Cream as I wanted to discover if this product stood up to its claims of reducing pigmentation and evening out skin's appearance ... and in the past five weeks my skin has started to see the benefits. Overall my skin has become more even and some of my dark 'age spots' seem to have reduced in size and colour - but not dramatically. Eventone Tone Perfecting Cream contains active ingredients including Shea Butter, Licorice, Vitamins C and E to reduce pigmentation and target signs of ageing. Because Eventone Tone Perfecting Cream is quite rich, my skin feels quite hydrated and fresh. The jar is a good size because a little goes a long way and Palmer's is available in pharmacies and supermarkets making it affordable and really accessible. I like the fact it comes in a jar because I am able to get in there and use up all of the product. I am disappointed to admit I will not purchase Eventone Tone Perfecting Cream in future because the formulation needs a bit of correcting and I would rather spend more for a product which I am in love with.
Tip: For application you only need a small amount as the consistency is thick. Avoid using more than a pea sized amount.
