Review: Lanolips 101 is a multi-purpose, treatment balm, infused with 100% pure medical grade lanolin. The all natural, fragrance-free balm, holds up to 200% of its weight in moisture and is dermatologically tested, so is ideal for dry, chapped lips, cracked cuticles and is safe for even the most sensitive skin, including newborn babies. I am a big fan of multi-tasking balms, an important, essential staple in my beauty arsenal. I was absolutely beyond impressed to discover that the ointment has a countless list of uses and it can conveniently replace numerous individual products, thus establishing it is handier than I first imagined. Not only is it considered to be superior in lip care, it’s also a protective barrier cream to prevent chafe or blisters, a highly emollient moisturiser that treats and repairs extremely dry, stressed out skin, cracked heels or cuticles, a soothing conditioner that relieves itchy, inflamed skin concerns, including sunburn, an after-shave solution to avoid in-grown hairs or razor burn, a gentle makeup remover, a smoothing gel to tame eyebrows or stray fly-aways, a first-aid treatment or liquid bandaid, which heals cuts, wounds and insect bites…the list goes on and on. It’s ultimately an ‘SOS’ in a tube for any beauty emergency and a must- have for everyone! Even though it may seem quite expensive upfront, each application only requires the bare minimum of product; hence the tube lasts and lasts. After experiencing for myself what a functional quick-fix it provides in many different situations, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lanolips 101 Ointment as an investment for any home. As my all-time favourite beauty balm, I urge you, if you have not yet encountered the magic of Lanolips, it’s seriously worth the splurge - the benefits are endless!

The translucent salve has a thick, creamy texture, which is firm as it’s squeezing out of the tube, yet it warms quickly at room temperature, well especially in the humid climate of the tropics, then it basically melts into a gooey, butter- like consistency for optimum performance. The non-scented, ultra nourishing formula penetrates deep for maximum hydration, but is completely non-greasy
and leaves no sticky residue. A little goes a long way and I only dispense a small pin-sized amount to treat my lips, or just gradually apply, bit by bit if covering larger areas; all depending on what I’m using it for. As the saying goes, less is always best and if I need more, then I’ll add a little amount as necessary. This will restrict wastage or overuse, therefore ensuring the product lasts longer. I
love slathering the balm on my lips at night-time, because I always wake up to soft, smooth, conditioned lips in the morning. I also wear it daily and re-apply it randomly throughout the day, as I am confident it will safeguard my lips from the elements, while at the same time, it adorns my kissers with a gorgeous, healthy-looking sheen. Conclusively, I find the ointment more comfortable than wearing a gloss and not to mention it’s more beneficial for my lips I received the Lanolips 101 in a squeezy, travel-size tube that is pale pink in colour and features gold and grey print. Also, on the front of the packaging, is the cute, well-known Lanolips logo, boasting a female sheep with long fluttery eyelashes and red, puckered-up lips. The tiny tube has a screw-on lid and is the perfect size to take with me anywhere, anytime.
Tip: Makes for a wonderful primer to condition the lips and create a base for underneath lipstick.

Review: I am really impressed with 101 Ointment, especially after I burned my knuckles on the oven and every other product only made the stinging worse. Then I remembered I had a tube of 101 Ointment in my handbag and the rest is history! My burned hand healed completely and there is no evidence to show otherwise. The main purpose of Lanolin is to create a proptective barrier for the skin and this rich balm did exactly that, which helped me burn repair itself from the outside in while retaining moisture from the ointment. I know that many use 101 Ointment on lips but I personally prefer Lanolips Lip Ointment which is specifically for the lips because the consistency is much lighter and smoother. 101 Ointment is too thick to wear as a gloss for my liking. The tube is a great size for the handbag and being a multi-purpose product 101 Ointment can be used to smooth stray brow hairs, on lips, to smooth split ends - the options are endless and the pretty packaging makes it appealing.
