Review: Some women love lipstick while others love a good mascara. Foundations and bases are my favourite cosmetics and because I trial and review so many, I can be one tough cookie to please. Double Wear Stay-in-Place is a gorgeous liquid foundation which looks flawless and feels fantastic on the skin - even when worn for hours on end. I can apply Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup at 7am and thanks to a good primer and powder, Double Wear lasts on all day long. In fact sometimes it looks so good at the end of the day that I don't want to remove it! The formulation is oil-free making it perfect for all skin types, however because the product is very rich I would recommend it for normal to dry skin types. Double Wear offers amazing coverage - a medium consistency that covers my flaws and the redness in my complexion without looking like a mask. The colour can sometimes look a tad bit pink on my skin although Fresco is a yellow-based shade. Double Wear Makeup is perfect for the cooler months of the year when skin starts to feel drier because it hydrates and softens the skin throughout the day. Although Estee Lauder describes Double Wear Makeup as a fragrance-free product, I disagree because it does contain a scent from the ingredients, however I do no believe they have added any additional fragrances in to the formula. Free from Parabens (yay!) and with its main ingredient being water (Aqua), Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup is one of the best out there.

The richness of this foundation doesn't make it unsuitable for oily skin. I have excessively oily skin, and this foundation has been the only one I've ever found that works for me.

It provides me with all day wear in all weather and all seasons, to the point where I've worn it for 13 hours in warm weather and thought that it would have been fine for several more hours with just a light dusting of powder to take away the shine.

If only my eyeshadow would last as long!

Hi Alice,
That's great to know. It seems quite rich even for my dry skin hence why I thought there may be better options but I do love it just as nuch as you regardless!

I have been so keen to try this foundation, however have not got the opportunity to access a EL Counter :( On the bright side I'm going to Sydney in a couple of weeks, so hoping to stalk the department stores on the Sunday before I fly home. A sample of this is on my hitlist, hehe, have read lots of good reviews and this definitely sounds like one of the best full coverage foundations around. Great review darl xxx

Hi Mel,
I am guessing you are in Sydney now for Beauty Expo so if you do happen to try this foundation I would love to know your thoughts.
