Rosemount Australian Fashion Week: Day One (Zimmermann)

Zimmermann S/S 2011 Collection
Hair: Unknown
Makeup: directed by MAC
Nicky Zimmermann was the first designer to exhibit at this year's RAFW and while this can be a daunting task, designer brand Zimmermann took it in their stride. And this is what they have brought to the table with their Halcyon Days collection: mismatched prints are pieced together, and lots of white and flowing pieces have been utilised in their Spring/Summer 2011 collection. Held in vintage-car showroom The Classic Throttle Shop in North Sydney, Zimmermann's pieces were reminiscent of the vintage feel. Trends from international collections such as long dresses with thigh-high splits were apparant in the new collection as well as vintage jumpsuits, linen pants and full piece swimsuits. While I would not wear everything in the range, there are certainly a few pieces worth investing in.

The Hair: resembles long and healthy locks which has been pulled back in to a very soft ponytail knot which lots of loose pieces to frame that face.
The Makeup: gorgeous soft muted skin and cheeks while apricot tones adorned the eyes which were softly lined with brown liner. A slick of mascara coated top lashes whilst the lips were filled in with a nude pencil and left natural. Thank you to MAC for providing images from the backstage areas.
