NIVEA Turns 100 With New Global Ambassador Rihanna

2011 is certainly shaping up to be the year where celebrities are chosen to represent famous beauty brands, but NIVEA did not want just any old celebrity for their 2011 campaign because they are turning 100!!! For millions around the world NIVEA has been a staple in their home for decades and as the brand enters its centennial, they look to the next generation of fans.

In order to prove that NIVEA is still as fresh, youthful, and trusted as it was in 1911, pop singer Rihanna has signed on to become the brand's 100 year young face - and doesn't Ri-Ri look youthful! In fact, it is almost hard to believe this is the Rihanna we have come to love. The beautiful songstress from Barbados has gone from strength to strength in her career and personal life. The teenager we first met with the luscious locks and flawless skin has now become a style icon with bright red hair and heavy makeup, so it is refreshing to see Rihanna looking beautiful in her own skin with minimal makeup again.

In a statement from NIVEA, Markus Pinger said, “Over the past 100 years, NIVEA has been an iconic skincare brand across the world that is built on the trust of our consumers. We are excited to have Rihanna supporting us in our celebration and building a new generation of fans.”

It gets better beautettes - NIVEA will be sponsoring the North America ad Europe leg of Rihanna's tour, in hope of connecting with the brand's fans and reaching out to new fans whilst celebrating their 100 year victory. Although no word on whether NIVEA will be sponsoring the rest of Rihanna's tour, they have certainly picked a winning face to help celebrate the brand's bright future ahead.
