Pink Diva's Beauty Photo Shoot

If there is one thing that I absolutely LOVE about my job, it has got to be the amazing models and photographers I get to work with as well as the fantastic images we make when we put our ideas together.
After starting off 2010 with a series of fashion shoots with international models, I was on a role and there was no stopping me - except for my wedding plans. Seeing as though I have been busy planning my wedding for the past year, I had to put fashion photo shoots on hold, which left me itching to get back in to it.
I was so keen to get back in to it that I decided to squeeze one shoot in just before our wedding (which is now only three weeks away mind you) and so I contacted a beautiful model from named Cristina from Newcastle, NSW after seeing her casting call last month. I loved her look and could tell right away that she would give me something fresh, fun and fantastic for my portfolio. I was thrilled when she responded and asked me to be her makeup artist on the day and because Cristina has not previously taken part in a creative beauty photo shoot, she was very keen to embrace difference while playing with colour, lashes and accessories.

Christina also sent a casting call for professional photographers who thought they could take on her creative challenge and it was through the call out that she met fantastic photographer Dey Manuel who has been a photographer for about 3 or 4 years and presents a fantastic portfolio containing a range of styles and photography types. We met at his studio in Chatswood, Sydney on Sat 5th February and decided to utilise Cristina's luscious long locks for a hair series.

While Dey is still busy working away on editing Cristina's best shots, I wanted to share some images with you to see what your thoughts are. The hair series is quite different to the current shots in my portfolio so I am really happy with the outcome.

Wow darl, these look fantastic, you should be proud. Look forward to seeing some more photos of this shoot, so far the stand-outs for me are the blue lipstick look and the lilac eyeshadow with false lashes. Very nice work, you are very talented and I would love to see some more of your work, or portfolio photos shared on your blog.
Congratulations on your wedding, which must be very close now, hope it is the wedding of your dreams, you deserve it :)
