Top 10 Must-Have Foundations

MY MUST-HAVE FOUNDATIONS:
  1. Beauty Blender Makeup Sponge - This bouncy pink egg-shaped sponge gave me so much confidence when I started working on weddings because regardless of what foundation I was using, the Beauty Blender sponge worked it in to the skin to provide a soft, flawless and airbrushed finish that women of all ages loves. It is re-usable, re-washable and does not actually absorb the product which means you will not waste your liquid foundation.
  2. Beauty Pod Makeup Sponge - Similar to the Beauty Blender, the Beauty Pod is an Australian purple makeup sponge that is shaped to give a fresh flawless application when applying primer, foundation and concealer. It is re-usable, re-washable and does not actually absorb the product which means you will not waste your liquid foundation. The design is easy to grip and simple to use. Plus for those who hate pinks and purples, Beauty Pod now comes in other shades.
  3. Chanel Vitalumiere Satin Smoothing Foundation - If you want an amazing foundation then it is hard to go past Chanel's range of amazing foundations, particularly Vitalumiere, a stunning lightweight foundation that offers a light to medium coverage and a natural dewy soft finish. It contains sunscreen offering SPF15 and feels super luxurious on. An anti-fatigue foundation that makes me look wide awake...even when I don't feel awake!
  4. Face of Australia Stick Foundation - For a no-fuss foundation stick that offers buildable coverage from light coverage right through to full coverage, that comes in a great range of shades, that is easy to blend, contains sunscreen (SPF15) and is less than $10, Face of Australia's Stick Foundation is my pick. I used this in my kit when starting out and when used with Beauty Pods and Beauty Blenders it gives my brides and models the most beautiful skin with a subtle dewy healthy glow.
  5. Gorgeous Cosmetics Base Perfect Foundation - Base Perfect foundation is just amazing. Offering a medium to full coverage with a matte finish, Base Perfect is a lovely liquid with a creamy consistency. It does not leave skin looking dry and does not sit in creases. The formula is easy to apply, is blends well, it feels amazing on the skin and I even love the smell. I keep it in two shades so I can alternate between the summer and winter months. Gorgeous Cosmetics is great Australian brand and I really love their quality products.
  6. Inika Mineral Foundation - I am super proud to see an Australian mineral foundation has made it to my Top 10. Inika's Mineral Foundation is a creamy liquid foundation that is free from all of the nasties you see in most product ingredients out there, the finish is a buildable medium to full coverage and it sets with a slightly powdery finish which means it stays on for longers and looks flawless for longer too. I am in love.
  7. Napoleon Perdis Sheer Genius Foundation - Sheer Genius is my favourite Napoleon Perdis foundation. After years of fabulous formulas, they finally hit the nail on the head. Sheer Genius offers a buildable light to medium coverage and a dewy sheen finish. The lightweight formula blends in to the skin with ease and the sleek black bottle makes it look as luxurious as it feels. Sheer Genius is amazing and if you don't believe me then ask the girls at Napoleon Perdis - it sold out for weeks when launched on counter!
  8. La Mer The Treatment Fluid Foundation SPF15 - Ok so for most of us, the indulgent The Treatment Fluid Foundation is well out of our price range, but it is so amazing so it still makes my top 10. This foundation is a rich yet lightweight fluid, offering a medium coverage with a stunning dewy finish while treating the skin with La Mer's famous marine hydrating properties. The selection of colours are fantastic and The Treatment Fluid Foundation contains SPF15. If that does not sell it to you then this will: Beauty Editor of Grazia magazine, Tracey Withers commented on how amazing my skin looked and asked what foundation I was using when we met at Grazia's launch party. Too cool!
  9. Laura Mercier Mineral Powder SPF15 - I love, love, love Laura Mercier's Mineral Powder foundation and it is all thanks to an old colleague of mine who RAVED about it. Although it took me a while to get around to trying it, I was pleasantly surprised that Mineral Foundation lived up to its expectations and it left me wondering why I didn't try it sooner. Offering a flawless finish, it blends easily, and has soft diffusing properties which makes my skin look young, soft, healthy and glowing. If there is one loose mineral powder foundation that I recommend every woman tries, this is it!
  10. Make Up Store Liquid Foundation - If you have never heard of this Swedish makeup brand then you have been missing out. Big time. Their Liquid Foundation offers a lovely soft and hydrating dewy finish with a buildable medium coverage that feels like second skin when worn. Plus Liquid Foundation has good staying power throughout the day and each pump goes a long way. The range of colours is very impressive and makes it easier to choose a shade, regardless of your skin tone.
Have you tried any products on my Top 10 list? How did you find your experience?

Aww darl this is so awesome, I love it, such a great read, I value your opinion so enjoy reading your suggestions. If you love something there is a good chance I could love it too, hehe. I have not tried the Beauty Blender but have the Pod and can't go without it now days when applying my liquid foundations :)
I have mentioned I have the Inika one on my wishlist, keen to try it very soon. Love the sounds of the Gorgeous one, looks like it would be ideal for my oily skin. I recently had a FOA Stick Foundation and gave it away as I have seriously not used one of those in years, however you have me keen to give it another go ;)
Oh just so many temptations, haha :) Thanks for all your wonderful ideas!!!

I've heard so much about the Laura Mercier powder. I hope I'll have the chance to try it someday. I have oily skin and I'm in the "no foundation" period, so I'm tryin' to find out what's the best powder.
