Olay Reviews

Olay Complete Defence Daily UV Moisturising Lotion SPF30+ ($14.69AUD) ★★★★
Olay Complete Defense Daily UV Moisturizer, SPF 30, 2.5-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 2)Product type: facial moisturiser & sunscreen suited to combination, normal & dry skin. Packaged in white plastic bottle with pump applicator.
Olay never ceases to amaze me with their quality products. I like Complete Defence Daily UV Moisturising Lotion SPF30+ because it provides high sun protection without that awful beachy sunscreen scent. I also love its lightweight yet creamy texture and its hydrating formula which maintains my skin and prevents it from drying out or excessively hydrating. The pump applicator expels evenly without spitting everywhere and the texture is not runny so it stays on the back of my hand while I brush my teeth or do other things. The packaging is simple yet attractive and is recyclable too which is a bonus. I was disappointed with the failure to clearly display all ingredients in the formula which can be deceiving and dishonest to consumers.
Olay Gentle Foaming Face Wash ($8.99AUD) ★★½
Olay Sensitive Skin Gentle Foaming Face Wash with Aloe - 7.0 oz.Product type: facial cleanser designed for all skin types that foams up and removes impurities. Packaged in a white plastic squeeze tube bottle with a flip-top lid.
Unfortunately, I am not a fan. Although it is really affordable & can be found in chemists and supermarkets, it really pays to spend extra. It is not a great cleanser but it did the job. It dried out the skin with long-term use which did not do my already temperamental skin any favours.
Olay Moisturising Lotion: Gentle ($7.70AUD) ★★★★
Product type: hydrating lotion for the face, designed for sensitive skin.
Olay Moisturising Lotion is great for a quick fix. I used to occasionally work for a glamour shots agency where the makeup and skincare was supplied. It one occasion I realised we were out of moisturiser so I raced out to Priceline and purchased this and  it was brilliant! It kept the client's skin smooth and soft, and it created a smooth landing for the makeup which glided over it so I was really happy with the outcome.

Olay Professional Pro-X Started Kit ($99.99AUD) ★★★★
Olay Professional Pro-X Eye Restoration Complex
is a hydrating eye cream that is ideal for use day and night. A little spreads a long way so go easy on the product. I love the fact that the skin around my eyes feel nice and firm and also very soft and smooth to the touch. However, I admit that I have sensitive eyes and dare say using this has left my peepers feeling a bit puffier than normal and slightly irritated - but lack of sleep could also be a contributing factor! The packaging is very classy, it stands out and the nozzle with screw lid is very easy to use. The plastic tube is perfect for that overnight bag too.
Olay Professional Pro-X Intensive Wrinkle Protocol Kit(Thank you to sassisam.com for allowing me to trial this product)

Olay Professional Pro-X Age Protection Lotion with SPF15 has left my skin feeling soft, protected and hydrated. Designed to hydrate, protect from sun damage and other anti-aging factors, Pro-X Age Protection Lotion has proven its worth to me already. Before using this, I was mixing my moisturiser with my faceblock but now I can save time bhy using the one nifty product. The pump is excellent because it is very sensitive which means you can pump out as little or as much as you need to. I like to use one to two pumps for my face and neck (TIP: always remember your decollete), but it is up to the user. Pro-X Age Protection Lotion absorbs into my skin with ease and does not leave a shiny or sticky feel. The consistency is lightweight, making it perfect for the hotter seasons and for all skintypes (except for those who are excessively oily).

Olay Professional Pro-X Wrinkle Smoothing Cream is going to be a very popular night cream. It aims to protect and repair skin while we get our beauty sleep, and from my experience, Pro-X Wrinkle Smoothing Cream does just that. I love the consistency and like Pro-X Age Protection Lotion, the formula absorbs in to my skin with ease. It has a smoothing effect and while I worry about getting deep whiteheads under the skin's surface from products too hydrating, Pro-X Wrinkle Smoothing Cream was excellent because it kept the condition of my skin at optimal condition without packing in too much hydration in one punch. One thing I do not fancy about the cream is that is comes in a jar and I prefer a more hygienic approach but due to the creamy nature of the formula it is best presented in a jar.

Olay Regenerist Facial Treatment Mask ($39.99AUD) ★★
Product type: hydrating and anti-age facial sheet mask which has cut outs for eyes, nose and mouth.
The first time I applied this mask I thought of two things:
1. The sheet mask cut out features do not fit the correct areas of the face - the eye patches are covering the outer corner of my eyes.
2. If someone is a little claustrophobic, they will feel very claustrophobic wearing this ill-filling sheet.
My eyes feel slightly irritated because the sheet mask is sitting too close to my eyes and the corners keep on touching. I have sensitive eyes so this formula does not mix well.
The sachet packet suggests the mask is worn for a minimum of 15 minutes but it irritated my eyes and couldn't last more than 17 minutes. It claims to leave the skin feeling cool, revived, hydrated, looking firmer, and assists in fighting signs of ageing. The result: my skin and eyelids are feeling hot and slightly irritated, my skin does feel firmer/tighter, I'm not sure just how hydrating it is but my skin is not red and I rinsed off the excess product to prevent breakouts. While this comes in a 5 pack, and encourages you to use it daily for quicker results, I will not use it again because I have not a positive first experience.

Olay Regenerist Revitalising Cream Cleanser ($15.99AUD) ★★★★½
Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Cleanser 5 fl oz (150 ml)This has become one of my all-time favourite cleansers for many different reasons. Let's start with the lovely light and creamy formula, which feels comforting and revitalising (as the name suggests) when on the skin. It is a daily face wash which doubles as your cleanser and exfoliant because it contains red and white exfoliating granules. There are many reasons I love this cleanser: the formula contains anti-ageing ingredients, my skin feels really clean after each use, the scent is light, appealing and uplifting (I'm not sure how to describe the scent though), and it has made my face, neck and decollette feel quite smooth thanks to the Aminopeptide complex. While I personally would not use it on a daily basis (because I cleanse twice daily, and get whiteheads when I over-exfoliate), so if your skin is like mine I suggest alternating it with a cleanser that serves another purpose, otherwise daily use should be fine.

Olay Regenerist Revitalising Serum ($29.95AUD) ★★★★
Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum - 1.7 fl ozProduct type: hydrating anti-age facial serum that assists moisturiser in working more effectively. I have been using this wonderful serum for the past month or two and it is fantastic. I love the smooth, cooling feel the gel texture provides on the skin and the way it absorbs super fast. It smells light and pleasant and gives my skin a smooth texture and and hydration slowly but surely. The cost is next to nothing when you put into perspective that Olay actually works. I would definitely recommend Olay's range to friends because they work for me.

Olay Total Effects Cream with UV Protection ($29.95AUD) ★★★★★
Olay Total Effects Touch of Sun Cream - 1.7 oz. Product type: daily facial moisturiser that contains UV Protection to protect skin from harsh sun rays. Designed to fight the seven signs of ageing, suitable for daytime use. Packaged in an air-tight plastic container with a pump applicator.

Wow, what an effective moisturiser, at bargain prices. I was using the gentle formula in the evenings and this one in the daytime as it contains an spf and my skin has never looked or felt better! Designed to fight the seven signs of ageing, it seems to do just that, leaving my skin in optimal condition, never irritating and pleasing me so much I have purchased it on a few occasions. The pump packaging is convenient & perfect for keeping the product hygienic and free of bacteria.

Olay Total Effects Cream Gentle Formula ($29.95AUD) ★★★★★
Product type: facial moisturiser in a gentle formula for sensitive skin. Designed to fight the seven signs of  ageing suitable for day or evening use. Packaged in an air-tight plastic container with a pump applicator.
I love this moisturiser (and I always will). I have purchased this product many times because it never disappoints. Gentle Formula is hydrating and non-greasy on the skin and makes my skin feel so smooth. I receive many comments on the condition of my skin when using this! If you are seeking a moisturiser under $50 then look no further because this is the ideal product for you. I love the pump-action packaging which is really tidy and appealing. The pump packaging is convenient & perfect for keeping the product hygienic and free of bacteria.
OLAY Total Effects - Eye Transforming Cream (0.5 oz)
Olay Total Effects Eye Cream ($29.95AUD) ★★★★★
Product type: hydrating and anti-age eye cream packaged in a clear plastic jar with  a black screw lid.
This eye cream cannot and will not disappoint - it is an awesome price, and seems to last forever! Olay's Total Effects Eye Cream is so rich and creamy (but not too rich for sensitive eyes). The products lasted me over a year! However, I prefer pump-action eye products as opposed to pots which can harbour bacteria.

Soooo not an Olay fan, I still can't get past the old Oil of Ulan my mum used for like forever, haha, she still uses Olay today, lol. Far too rich for my oily skin though !!
